Brand Manager
To meet growth and performance targets for assigned Brands based on overall company objectives of increased gross profit and market share.
Working with the Country Manager/Marketing Manager you will create, implement, own and control marketing and channel plans for given brands and maximise return on investment and effectiveness of same.
Create yearlong tactical calendar plans to support each brand including consumer promotions, channel and trade marketing and media plans (including social media)
Develop objectives, mechanics, budgets and ROI analyses for both consumer and trade promotions - these will be approved by Country Manager or Marketing Manager
Contract/manage talent and develop new creative as necessary
Manage Brand related events as required
Execute approved plans on time and within budget
Assist with management of the marketing budget using a budget tracker template vis. the PO system; and ensure spend is within approved limits
Implement trade marketing, sales and merchandising initiatives to grow sales in specific segments; provide sales analysis to support same; liaise across the matrix structure with sales, merchandising and promotions team to execute same
Use audits as a control mechanism to measure effectiveness of promotional, merchandising, and trade activities
Execute New Product launches as required
Assist with market research then analyse and use consumer information to drive sales and increase market share
Understand the value of channels and how they influence brand building
Manage all administrative systems which support the brand including gondolas, POP collateral and premiums, deals and incentives, push promotions, donations, stock and inventory control etc
Use brand templates and systems effectively
Qualifications:
Tertiary level qualification in Business, Marketing, Media or Communications
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Trade management
Sound knowledge of consumer and channel marketing principles and practices
Experience in developing/writing and executing marketing plans
Traditional media, social media, agency, talent and event management experience highly desirable
Understands consumer and market research principles and their application
Skilled at executing and evaluating ROI on fully integrated marketing programs
Strong retail trade experience
NB: Office Hours are 8:00 am-5:00pm Mondays to Thursdays and 8:00am - 4:30pm on Fridays. It should be noted that based on the industry and nature of the job you may frequently be required to work outside of these hours.
