Civil Mechanics Vacancy
Description:
Providing safe, efficient, cost effective and quality civil maintenance repair services;
Minimizing plant and equipment downtime by utilizing advanced trade knowledge and applying troubleshooting techniques and corrective actions to quickly restore normalcy;
Building maintenance namely, Masonry, Plumbing and Carpentry in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs);
Collaborating with the Department Supervisor to achieve the department's accountability objectives and being involved in Autonomous Maintenance and Jamalco Business Systems activities.
Qualifications:
Secondary School education with certified passes in at least four (4) subjects at the GCE/CXC level or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics or a science subject;
HEART Vocational Level 2 Certification;
At least four (4) years work experience;
Technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing fire hydrant, potable water and sewage systems;
Good computer, communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to read drawings/line diagrams to effect repairs associated with the job.
