Under the direction of theNurse Administrator, this position is accountable for performing the following:
- Nursing duties and other medical functions as may be required from time to time through the incumbent's direct supervision.
- Daily medical activities e.g. carrying out pre-employment and periodic physical examinations, monitoring health hazards and medical surveillances.
- Preparing reports of activities within the department, as well as handling emergencies as they relate to the Industry.
- Supervision of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
- Coordinating Plant Education Activities and Wellness program.
Qualification and Experience
To be considered the incumbent must have:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- A minimum of three (3) years experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current registration with Nursing Council of Jamaica
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working in emergency unit
- Excellent computer skills
