QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- B.Sc.Computer Science or equiavlent.
- Two (2) years' experience working as a programmer/developer.
- Proficiency in application development languages in at least two of the following categories:
- Application Development - Lansa, VB
- Web Application Development – PHP, HTML, Java, .Net
- Database Management - MS SQL, Oracle
- Report Writing – Crystal Reports, Sequel
- Certification in any of the following would be an asset
- AWD, Lansa Visual/WEB, SQL, Java, PHP, Oracle, Web Design
Experience working with ICBS,RPGLE or Business Intelligence tools would be an asset.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient applications and scripts adhering to established standards and IT best practices
- Develop/modify programs to enhance functionality and efficiency of application modules (with or without specifications).
- Develop test plans and test cases to verify accuracy
- Test thoroughly the operation of completed programs and their relation to linked programs, applying testing tools as applicable to ensure efficiency.
- Participate in the development and testing of applications that interface with core system
- Prepare and maintain system documentation.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Excellent understanding of coding methods and IT best practices.
- Web Development Architecture
- Experience working with Lansa, AWD systems.
- Experience working with relational databases .
- Proficiency in development using Microsoft Access, MS SQL.
